FLORAL FAVORITES from the nineteenth century. Read our "About Us" page to see why we focus on the 1800s.
Wonderfully fragrant, the Country Rose especially, reminds me of my grandmother, although she was born in the
20th century. Wonderful for those who enjoy Civil War re-enacting or the American Victorian Era. Made with the same
gentle vegetable glycerin base as our herbal soaps, $4.00 per bar.
Especially for the men, Bay Rum is a historic fragrance. Bay leaves were added to a bottle of rum, and after steeping
for a time, the resulting combination was used for aftershave. Amber is also a popular "old" fragrance, but I'm not
sure how to describe it, sort of a blend of vanilla, sandalwood and musk...very rich and somewhat unisex.
